Legal
Terms of Service
The rules and guidelines for using the BMO platform.
1Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the BMO platform ("BMO," "we," "us," "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms apply to all users, including browsers, traders, buyers, sellers, and middlemen.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must stop using BMO immediately. Continued use of the platform constitutes your acceptance of these terms and any future updates.
2Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use BMO. If you are located in the European Union, you must be at least 16 years old to create an account in compliance with GDPR requirements.
If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained consent from a parent or legal guardian. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the platform complies with applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Do not share your password with anyone, and enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for added protection.
3Account Rules
Each person may only operate one account. Creating multiple accounts to manipulate reputation, evade bans, or gain unfair advantages is strictly prohibited and will result in all associated accounts being permanently banned.
Account sharing is not allowed. Your account is personal to you, and you are responsible for all activity that occurs under it. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password immediately and contact support.
All information provided during registration must be accurate. Using fake or misleading information (such as impersonating another user) violates these terms.
4Marketplace Conduct
When using the BMO marketplace, you agree to:
- Be honest. All listings must accurately describe the item or service being offered. Misrepresenting items, inflating value, or using misleading screenshots is prohibited.
- No scamming. Any attempt to defraud another user, whether through fake trades, bait-and-switch tactics, or refusal to deliver after payment, will result in an immediate permanent ban.
- No price manipulation. Coordinating with other users to artificially inflate or deflate prices, or creating fake offers to mislead buyers, is not allowed.
- Be respectful. Harassment, hate speech, threats, doxxing, or any form of abusive behavior toward other users will not be tolerated.
- No spam. Do not post duplicate listings, flood chat channels, or use automated tools to scrape data or post content.
5Trading Rules
BMO provides middleman services to help facilitate safe trades. While middleman use is not mandatory for every trade, we strongly recommend using a middleman for any trade involving high-value items or unfamiliar trading partners.
When a middleman is involved, both parties must follow the middleman's instructions and provide items or payment as agreed. Attempting to bypass or circumvent the middleman process during an active trade is a bannable offense.
Delivery proof (screenshots, recordings, or other verifiable evidence) may be required for certain trades. Both buyers and sellers should keep records of their transactions in case a dispute arises.
If a dispute occurs, BMO's moderation team will review the evidence provided by both parties and render a decision. Dispute resolutions are final unless new evidence is presented within 7 days.
6Prohibited Items
The following items and services may not be listed or traded on BMO:
- Stolen accounts or items. Trading items or accounts obtained through hacking, phishing, or unauthorized access is prohibited.
- Illegal goods or services. Anything that violates local, national, or international law.
- Real-money transactions outside BMO. All payments for trades facilitated on BMO must go through the platform's payment systems (BMOCash, Stripe, or crypto). Side-dealing to avoid fees undermines platform safety and is not allowed.
- Exploits and cheats. Software, tools, or services designed to exploit game vulnerabilities or provide unfair advantages.
- Personal information. Trading or selling other people's personal data or credentials.
7Middleman Responsibilities
BMO middlemen are verified community members who act as neutral third parties during trades. Their role is to hold items or funds in escrow until both sides of the trade have been fulfilled.
Middlemen must remain impartial and may not favor either party. They are expected to handle trades in a timely manner, communicate clearly, and escalate any issues to the moderation team if necessary.
Middlemen who abuse their position, steal escrowed items, or show bias will be permanently removed from the program and banned from the platform. BMO maintains oversight of all middleman activity through internal logging and audits.
8Payments & Fees
BMO supports payments through BMOCash (our in-platform wallet), credit/debit cards via Stripe, and cryptocurrency via NOWPayments. All transactions are processed by these third-party providers and are subject to their respective terms.
Certain premium features, such as rank upgrades (Plus, Pro, Elite) and ad slot purchases, require payment. Subscription plans auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can manage your subscription from your account settings.
Refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis by our support team. Refunds for rank upgrades are generally not available once the benefits have been used. BMOCash deposits are non-refundable once added to your wallet but can be spent on any platform service.
BMO reserves the right to adjust pricing and fee structures. Users will be notified of any changes before they take effect.
9Intellectual Property
The BMO platform, including its design, code, branding, logos, and documentation, is the intellectual property of BMO and its operators. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform without written permission.
Content you post on BMO (listings, reviews, messages, profile information) remains yours. By posting content, you grant BMO a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and use that content as part of the platform's normal operation.
You must not post content that infringes on another party's intellectual property rights. If you believe your IP has been infringed, contact us at support@bmo.trading with details.
10Account Termination
BMO reserves the right to suspend or permanently ban any account that violates these Terms of Service. Actions that may lead to termination include scamming, harassment, creating multiple accounts, listing prohibited items, or any behavior that harms the community.
Suspensions may be temporary or permanent depending on the severity of the violation. If your account is suspended, you will receive a notification explaining the reason. Active trades and listings may be frozen during the suspension period.
You may appeal a ban by submitting a support ticket within 14 days of the ban. Appeals are reviewed by the moderation team. Providing false information in an appeal will result in the appeal being denied.
You may voluntarily delete your account at any time from Settings > Security. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
11Limitation of Liability
BMO is a marketplace platform that connects buyers and sellers. We provide tools and services (including middleman facilitation) to help trades go smoothly, but we are not a party to any transaction between users.
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BMO and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to losses from trades conducted outside the middleman system.
12Changes to Terms
BMO may update these Terms of Service at any time. When we make significant changes, we will notify users through a platform announcement and/or email notification at least 7 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you disagree with the changes, you should stop using the platform and delete your account.
We recommend checking this page periodically to stay informed about our terms. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
